Fort Pitt Secure is a wholly owned nonprofit subsidiary of Parallax Advanced Research, operating under flow-down authorities delegated by Parallax. Your membership directly supports our mission to expand secure capabilities across southwest Pennsylvania for organizations committed to serving and protecting the nation.

Fort Pitt Secure, as a Secure Innovation Center (SIC), provides shared commercial classified workspace—a turnkey solution combining secure, accredited facilities, resilient infrastructure, and cleared support personnel to meet the demands of classified operations without delay or complexity. The Secure Innovation Center mitigates the greatest barrier to working with the government (access to classified environments) by enabling government and industry partners to accelerate mission-critical programs by providing a trusted, compliant, and flexible environment for innovation and operational execution within the national security domain.

  • Personnel Security: On-site support for visitors,access control, and insider threat mitigation.
  • Physical Security: Hardened infrastructure with intrusion detection, surveillance, and SCIF/SAPF-compliant construction.
  • Turn-Key Classified Workspaces: Rapidly deployable, configurable spaces to support a variety of mission-specific activities.
  • Secure Network Integration: Support for classified IT systems including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, SAP-IT, and secure voice and video telecommunications.
  • Classified Conference & Meeting Rooms: Secure, on-site spaces for classified engagements with government and contractor stakeholders.
  • Classified Dry Lab: Laboratory space focused on advancing intelligent systems—including AI, robotics, neuroscience, and autonomous discovery—at various classification levels.

Secure Facilities 

  • Private, furnished SCIF/SAPF workspaces (150–200 sq. ft.)
  • Classified and unclassified meeting areas

IT and Accreditation Support 

  • Secure, dual-carrier internet with internal firewall
  • NSA-approved shredders and GSA classified document storage containers
  • SCIF/SAPF accreditation and JSIG/ICD 503 documentation support 

Cleared Security Personnel 

  • Roles including CPSO, ISSM, CSSR, ISSO, and Classified IT Admin
  • Equipment sourcing and IT configuration support
  • Visit coordination and personnel indoctrination (briefing/debriefing) support
